The crown of the palm is characterized by long, pinnate leaves that can grow up to 4 meters (13 feet) in length, providing a tropical aesthetic. Unlike the true coconut palm, Parajubaea cocoides is adapted to cooler, temperate climates and higher altitudes, thriving at elevations between 1,500 to 3,000 meters (4,900 to 9,800 feet).
